Clover honey is perhaps the most common honey, particularly in New Zealand. With so much grass pasture, clover honey, bees and farms are closely intertwined as farmers use the clover to help pasture quality... not to mention that the sheep and cows love it too!
Sweet and light
Sweet and generally light in colour, clover honey is on the table of many New Zealand breakfast tables. There are a number of clover types but the white-flowered clover is the one bees can access easily and is the main source for this light-coloured and sweet honey.
Swarming sons have two locations producing clover honey - Fiordland and Mackenzie.
